His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, Malaysia.
The meeting is part of HRH Prince Salman’s attendance at the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, in Malaysia, marking the 22nd edition of the event.
The event is being hosted by Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad and Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the relationship between Bahrain and Malaysia, which extends across many levels.
He highlighted His Majesty’s and the Malaysian King’s ongoing support for co-operation and joint co-ordination between the two countries.
HRH Prince Salman noted that these efforts contribute to furthering shared aspirations and development for both countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to Malaysia for its co-operation in ensuring the success of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, which reflects the strength of the Bahrain-Malaysia relations.
He affirmed the mutual commitment to deepen the bilateral partnerships and strengthen co-operation between Bahrain and Malaysia.
During the meeting, the latest regional and international developments and a number of issues of mutual interest, were also discussed.
For his part, Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to developing bilateral relations and co-operation, in a way that achieves the shared aspirations of both countries and their people.
