His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Saudi Arabian Energy Minister and Industry and Mineral Resources Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Riffa Palace.
He emphasised the historic relationship between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, stressing that these deep-rooted ties are underpinned by a solid foundation and continue to deepen toward greater partnership and co-operation across all levels.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the support of His Majesty King Hamad and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for further advancing bilateral ties.
He underscored the commitment and efforts of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to strengthen relations for the benefit of both kingdoms.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to advancing joint multi-sectoral co-operation, particularly in the energy and industry sectors, to create further opportunities.
He affirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia is integral to the security of Bahrain, emphasising Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
During the meeting, avenues to advance multi-sectoral collaboration and issues of common interest were discussed.
Prince Abdulaziz thanked HRH Prince Salman for his commitment to advancing Bahrain-Saudi relations and wished the kingdom further progress and prosperity.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa were also in attendance.
