Bahraini companies have kept up their production and continue to supply customers, despite logistical hurdles faced due to the ongoing geopolitical situation.
Bell Racing Helmets, part of Racing Force Group in Sakhir, which supplies Bahrain-made helmets to 14 of the 22 Formula 1 drivers on the grid, told the GDN that production was continuing as the kingdom positions itself as a motorsport leader.
“We produce more than 50,000 full-size helmets and 100,000 mini helmets,” Bell Racing Helmets production manager Maitham Mahmood Ali told the GDN on the sidelines of the Made In GCC expo held in Exhibition World Bahrain.
“Yes, we faced challenges during the conflict to get our helmets to our customers, but we successfully navigated them with our logistics partners to ensure minimal disruption.”
Bahrain’s industrial achievements were also recognised as part of the ‘Made in GCC’ Industrial Excellence Awards.
Amongst the Bahrain-based winners were SULB in the large factory category, Zayani Polymer Factory in the medium factory category and Chocola and Co in the small factory category.
