Visitors to the ‘Made in GCC’ event got a ‘super’ glimpse of the future of industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics.
UAE-based Sindan Robotics, based in Abu Dhabi with a presence in Shenzhen, China, showcased its humanoid and dog robots at the UAE booth in the exhibition on the sidelines of the forum.
“We have technology solutions in additive manufacturing, automation and robotics, and industrial AI, which is where we integrate all the different solutions into one system,” Sindan digital solutions engineer Mohammed Alzaabi told the GDN.
“Our current use cases for our robotic dog include surveillance and inspection, while we are exploring use cases beyond entertainment for our humanoid robot, which is capable of carrying up to 6kg of load and might be effective in a factory environment.”
Although Sindan’s technology is currently manufactured overseas, the company is working to localise production to create robots made in Abu Dhabi and other parts of the GCC.
