An oil tanker sailing off the northern coast of Qatar was hit by multiple projectiles on Wednesday, causing an unknown number of casualties, according to a British maritime agency.
The vessel was struck approximately 500 kilometres west of the Strait of Hormuz at around 1900 UTC, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
