PRIME Minister’s Court Minister and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has highlighted the important role of financial technology in transforming business models, enhancing institutional efficiency, and expanding opportunities for Bahraini talent to contribute to the growth of emerging economic sectors.
He noted that these efforts contribute to advancing the kingdom’s comprehensive development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Isa made these statments during his visit to the FinTech Forward 2026 Forum yesterday.
He emphasised the importance of fostering innovation and accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies to further strengthen the competitiveness of the kingdom’s economy.

He highlighted the role of the private sector in driving innovation and technological advancement, emphasising the importance of encouraging private-sector enterprises to adopt advanced technological solutions to enhance service delivery, boost productivity, and create sustainable, high-quality employment opportunities for Bahraini talent.
Shaikh Isa noted that the rapid development of the kingdom’s financial sector, alongside advances in digital technologies, presents significant opportunities for businesses to strengthen their capabilities, enhance their services, and expand into new markets.
He also emphasised the importance of continued co-ordination among relevant authorities to maintain a business environment that encourages innovation, supports competitiveness, and remains responsive to evolving global economic developments.
He affirmed the significant role of specialised forums and industry events in promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise, identifying emerging trends, and showcasing innovative solutions shaping the future of the financial sector. He added that such platforms help foster strategic partnerships and expand opportunities for collaboration, while enabling businesses to adapt to technological advancements and evolving market demands.
Shaikh Isa toured the exhibition held alongside the forum, where he was briefed on innovative financial technology solutions and digital services presented by participating companies and institutions. He also reviewed a range of advanced applications designed to improve service delivery, enhance operational efficiency, and support the continued development of the financial sector.
