Mazad, a digital auction and marketplace platform, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with local insurance aggregator Soor during Fintech Forward 2026.
The deal enables buyers to insure items purchased through Mazad within the same digital journey, streamlining asset acquisition and protection into a single transaction.
The agreement was signed during Soor’s participation in the forum, supported by Tamkeen, highlighting the event’s role in fostering strategic partnerships and driving innovation across the kingdom’s fintech ecosystem.
Under the partnership, buyers on the Mumtalakat portfolio company’s platform will be able to view, compare, and purchase insurance policies from licensed Bahraini insurers directly at checkout. Initial coverage options will span major categories, including vehicles and real estate.
Mazad chief executive Nezar Habib said: “Buying a vehicle or a property is one of the most important decisions our customers make, and insuring it is the natural next step. By bringing insurance options directly into the Mazad journey, buyers can now purchase and protect their asset in one place, entirely online.
“This reiterates our commitment at Mazad towards delivering a seamless experience to buyers across the kingdom, while further strengthening Bahrain’s digital financial services ecosystem.”
Soor CTO and co-founder Qasim Albaqali said the initiative aligns with the aggregator’s focus on accessibility and transparency.
“Our mission at Soor is to make insurance simple, transparent, and accessible,” Mr Albaqali said. “Partnering with Mazad places that choice right at the point of purchase, giving buyers access to options from Bahrain’s licensed insurers in just a few clicks. We are proud to work with a leading national platform like Mazad to make protecting new assets easier for customers across the kingdom.”
Integrated insurance options will be rolled out across the mazad.bh website and official mobile application, with further operational details to be announced in due course.
