FOOTBALL – A mammoth clash between two-time defending champions Muharraq and perennial contenders Al Khaldiya is set to take place tonight as action resumes following a lengthy international break in the 2026-27 Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League.
The game is scheduled for a 7pm kick-off and it will be played at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town.
Muharraq have had a difficult start to the campaign and sit second-to-last with just a single point after being deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player during their game earlier this season against Manama.
Khaldiya, on the other hand, sit atop the league table with seven points, tied with Riffa, who are also in action tonight against Al Malkiya at the National Stadium in Riffa, also kicking off at 7pm.
Both fixtures make up day one in week four of this season’s Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League.
Action continues tomorrow and on Sunday.
Tomorrow, Al Ahli face Manama at Khalifa Sports City Stadium while Al Ettifaq take on Hidd at the National Stadium.
Then, on Sunday, A’ali play East Riffa at Khalifa Sports City Stadium with Al Najma going up against Sitra at the National Stadium.
All four contests are scheduled for 7pm starts.
