Kuwait’s Social Affairs Ministry has launched an investigation after a video depicting the harsh treatment of a child inside a nursery circulated on social media.

Immediate legal and regulatory measures were initiated following public outrage over the incident, according to Acting Undersecretary Faisal Al Kandari.
Al Kandari said officials were instructed to summon the child’s guardian and the nursery manager to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
He stressed that there is zero tolerance for any behaviour that harms children and that legal action will be taken against violators.
He also underscored the need for all nurseries across Kuwait to install security cameras to ensure strict oversight and safeguard children.
