Healthcare fees for expatriates and visitors in Bahrain are set to be revised once the kingdom’s health insurance system is fully implemented, with the government planning to introduce new prices based on the actual cost, quality and sustainability of services.
The plans were outlined by Parliament and Shura Council Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain in an official response to an urgent parliamentary proposal calling for increased fees for healthcare services provided to non-Bahraini workers and visitors .
