FOOTBALL – HIS Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa directed yesterday to take all necessary steps to ensure the health and recovery of former Bahrain international footballer Mohammed Hubail, who has suffered a health crisis and is in hospital.
Shaikh Nasser personally instructed to follow up on the condition of Hubail, who is a prominent figure in Bahrain’s football history. He directed the relevant authorities to facilitate all medical procedures in his hospitalisation and ensure Hubail’s safety.
Hubail was rushed to hospital on Monday after suddenly collapsing while playing football and needed to undergo cardiac resuscitation.
Hubail was reportedly preparing to represent the kingdom in the Gulf Cup for Veteran Players, which is scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar from October 31 to November 6.
