The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain is set to host a unique ‘Ballet Afternoon Tea’ on Wednesday, combining world-class artistic expression with refined dining for a charitable cause.
Organised in collaboration with the Layali Arts Centre, this distinctive initiative forms a key part of the luxury hotel’s annual Pinktober campaign. The special event aims to raise vital breast cancer awareness and generate funds for the Bahrain Cancer Society.
For one evening only, the elegant Lobby Lounge will be transformed into a theatrical stage for an enchanting performance of classical artistry.
Between 6.30pm and 6.50pm, guests will be treated to a short classical ballet showcase featuring Layali Arts Centre co-founder Marija Rakic, a highly accomplished professional dancer and instructor.
Ms Rakic received her training in Serbia and Russia and her international career includes dancing on the renowned stage of Moscow’s historic Bolshoi Theatre.

Enhancing the visual spectacle, the dance performance will be accompanied by live storytelling alongside a piano and violin recital. The carefully curated musical programme features timeless masterworks, including Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Beethoven’s Für Elise, and Chopin’s Les Sylphides.
While enjoying the show, patrons can savour the hotel’s signature Pink Afternoon Tea, which boasts an array of specially crafted sweet and savoury delicacies. The exclusive menu is priced at BD30 per set.
While the ballet performance is a single-evening exclusive, the thematic tea service itself remains available to the public throughout October, served daily from 3pm to 7pm.
A portion of all proceeds generated from the Pink Afternoon Tea sales will be directly donated to the Bahrain Cancer Society.
These funds will actively support the society’s ongoing community outreach programmes, awareness campaigns and patient care services for those affected by breast cancer across the kingdom.
Admission to view the ballet performance is complimentary, though prior reservations are strongly recommended to guarantee best seats.
