Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, conducted a trial of the smart learning platform (B~SERA), reviewing several of its AI-powered educational tools ahead of its launch. The platform aims to improve education by using artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and support teachers, students and parents.
During the preparation phase, educational data and information from schools were comprehensively analysed and integrated into the platform. Work also began on developing the educational and administrative services it will provide. The platform will make effective use of AI in education and strengthen the ability of teaching staff, administrative staff and students to use modern technology to achieve educational goals, improve the quality of education and enhance service efficiency.
In its first phase, the smart learning platform will offer a wide range of educational and administrative services for students, teachers and parents. These will include a learning management service that enables students to use AI to study lessons, prepare study plans, and access summaries and explanations. It will also help them develop self-assessment skills through interactive tests and assessments prepared by the AI assistant, which will provide feedback based on their results. This will support independent learning, take account of differences between students and improve educational outcomes.
The AI-powered platform will also help teachers prepare lessons and educational plans, provide tools to develop teaching methods, and facilitate communication between teachers, students and parents through direct interaction channels. This will strengthen partnerships between schools and families, help parents monitor students’ academic progress and create a more interactive and integrated learning environment.
The smart learning platform (B~SERA) is the first practical application of AI in the formal education system.
