Major General Turki Al Malki, Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, categorically denied allegations by the Houthi militia that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had threatened to target tribal and civilian gatherings, describing the claims as false and entirely baseless.
Al Malki said the allegations reflected continued attempts to mislead public opinion and divert attention from the militia's own crises. He also warned against drawing members of Yemeni tribes into conflicts, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The spokesperson emphasised that Yemeni tribes would remain an integral part of Yemen's social fabric and a firm pillar of its society, as well as a bridge of communication between the Saudi and Yemeni peoples.
Al Malki reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's steadfast commitment to Yemen's security and stability and emphasised the importance of preserving the ties between the Saudi and Yemeni peoples, while preventing Yemeni tribes from being exploited in conflicts that do not serve the Yemeni people's aspirations for security, peace and development.
