TABLE TENNIS – BAHRAIN Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa achieved a new milestone for the kingdom’s sports yesterday after winning membership to the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Council representing Asia, the BTTA announced.
Shaikha Hayat, who is also an Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) regional vice-president for West Asia, was awarded her ITTF post during the elections at the ATTU annual general meeting 2026, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the sidelines of the 29th ITTF-ATTU Asian Championships 2026.
Shaikha Hayat received a unanimous vote at the ATTU gathering, the BTTA said yesterday.
