Kuwait's General Department of Criminal Investigation has arrested five Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly selling electronic cigarettes to school students.
The Interior Ministry stated that the suspects operated from an unlicensed grocery store.
An investigation revealed that the group established a delivery and collection system outside the premises to distribute vaping products to teenagers.
Security forces had placed the suspects under surveillance following an official tip-off regarding the sales to schoolchildren.
Officers arrested all five suspects during a raid on the store and its immediate surroundings.
Authorities confiscated 13 large boxes and 23 small boxes of electronic cigarettes, alongside 219 bags of tobacco and KD1,722 in suspected sales proceeds.
The suspects admitted to managing the store and participating in the illegal distribution network.
The arrested individuals and confiscated items have been referred to competent legal authorities for formal prosecution.
