Dubai Police impounded 218 vehicles and issued 518 fines for noise violations in October.
The Dubai Director of the General Directorate of Traffic explained that driving a vehicle that causes excessive noise carries a fine of BD 206 and 12 traffic points.
Unauthorised modifications to a vehicle's engine or chassis carry a fine of BD103, 12 traffic points, and 30 days of vehicle impoundment.
Additionally, owners must pay a BD1,031 fee for releasing the impounded vehicle.
