A specialised government task force has been established to intervene when companies plan redundancies or face partial or complete closures, with the aim of protecting Bahraini jobs and prevent workers from losing their livelihoods.The team works directly with affected companies to negotiate ways of retaining national employees, reducing the number of dismissals and exploring alternative employment arrangements, according to a government response to Parliament .
