MANAMA: International superstar Enrique Iglesias will headline the Bahrain F1 next month.
Mr Iglesias will take to the stage on April 15 at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
The Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer joins an already stellar cast of internationally renowned artists who are part of the off-track entertainment at the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which will be held at the BIC from April 14 to 16.
Electronic dance music icon Steve Aoki will also perform on the same night, while other artists taking to the stage on April 14 include DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, and MATTN.
All those with tickets to the Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to enjoy the show.
Mr Iglesias’ global popularity is undeniable, and he is one of the biggest artists ever to grace the stage at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
The 41-year-old has been celebrated with just about every award an artist can receive, including multiple Grammys, Billboard Awards, World Music Awards, American Music Awards, and many more totaling over 200.
The son of legendary Spanish singer-songwriter Julio Iglesias, Enrique has sold more than 130 million albums worldwide, released 10 studio albums plus two greatest hits compilations, and is a multiplatinum artist in almost every country around the world.
He has headlined 10 world tours to over 10 million fans throughout his career, having performed in every corner of the globe from New York to Sydney.
The renowned performer has 27 number one singles on the Billboard Latin Songs Chart, as well as having multiple number ones across all the Billboard charts with a combined total of 105.
His most recent track, “Duele El Corazon”, got him his 14th number one Billboard Dance track, making him the king of the chart, beating out Michael Jackson for the most number ones in Billboard history.
He continues to be one of the most successful artists in modern music holding the record for most weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart with his hit “Bailando” at 42 weeks, and the music video has gained over 1.9 billion views on YouTube.
