The UAE has today banned all flights to or from Doha from crossing its airspace, according to Al Ittihad newspaper.
Officials from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced the closure which will be maintained until further notice.
The GCAA yesterday shut down Qatar Airways offices with immediate effect.
Last Monday the UAE severed diplomatic relations with Doha and closed all air and maritime corridors to and from Qatar.
