This man could be in line for the ‘Uncle Of The Year’ award after he wore a princess dress to the cinema in Alabama, USA. His reason was very simple. His niece Izzy wanted to wear her princess costume to the ‘Cinderella’ movie but was embarrassed.
25-year old Jesse Nagy adventurous trip to the movies was posted anonymously on Reddit with the caption: "The niece was embarrassed to wear her princess costume to the movies. The Uncle didn't like that.”
So, like any uncle would, this ex-Armyman who is now trying out acting, borrowed a prom dress added a tiara, sparkly bag and chest hair and walked hand-in-hand with his 4-year old niece so she wouldn't feel awkward.
Since then his photos have gone viral and Jesse has even hosted an AMA on reddit.
He was asked how he felt about the images going viral and the response of his friends and family. Jesse replied, “It's weird. I didn't think it was a big deal to just do what kids want to do. I was very surprised this morning.”
Another question was, “Did you get any comments from people, or just a lot of stares? Did people generally find it funny or creepy since you were with your niece?”
Jesse replied,” Thanks! I had a woman who thought it was adorable, she pulled up to me in the parking lot and was nearly crying. Everyone stared and leaned in to talk about it, some gave me thumbs up, some just snickered and rolled their eyes.”
Was his niece happy and did she appreciate her uncle’s gesture?
Jesse says Izzy never stopped smiling and loved it when people would stop her to take pictures and call her a princess.
The most important question was obviously abou the dress and how did a grown man have that ‘sitting around’.
To which Jesse replied, “Sort of. I borrowed it from my brother-in-law's sister. It was her prom dress. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!”
As is the case with most Americans whose pictures go viral, you get invited to talk shows and that is what Jesse hopes as his last tweet has this hashtag.#getjessynagyonellendegeneres
