THE fourth season of Le Cafe des Images opens with the screening of Dalida at Novo Cinema in Seef Mall, Muharraq on September 18.
The 2017 French biographical drama film about the life of singer and actress Dalida is written, directed and co-produced by Lisa Azuelos, and stars Sveva Alviti as Dalida.
It will contain English subtitles.
The screening will be preceded by a short Bahraini film, Sabar, by Bahrain-based filmmaker and photographer Wasan Madan.
“Sabar is my first narrative short film which I have directed and written,” said Ms Madan.
“It was premièred at the opening night of Bahrain Film Days Festival 2014, and tells the story of three sisters, living under family constraints.
“Sabar is an Arabic word meaning trying to explore something and knowing it depth.”
Ms Madan is currently pursuing her Master’s in Film and Television at Savannah College of Art and Design, in Georgia, the US.
