Kuwait Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah is set to embark this week on a Gulf shuttle tour in a bid to defuse the Qatar crisis.
A Saudi source said the diplomatic effort comes ahead of the 39th GCC Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Kuwait in December, according to Almarsd newspaper.
The German News Agency (DW) said that the talks between the Saudi and Kuwaiti leaders would focus on the Qatari crisis and the Quartet in a bid to solve all differences on the negotiation table towards reaching radical solutions to end the crisis.
The fate of the GCC Summit remains uncertain due to the worsening crisis between the Arab quartet and Qatar, which is accused of adopting controversial policies that destabilise the region and the Arab world.
