Sanjay Jaimy won the under-17 boys’ singles and doubles titles at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Junion Open Badminton Tournament.
More than 150 players, mostly from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, took part in the three-day event, held at the Samajam hall.
Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation (BBSF) secretary general Hisham Al Abbasi was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Present were BKS president P V Radhakrishna Pillai, secretary N K Veeramani, vice-president Ashley Raju George, indoor games secretary Naushad C and Indian Club secretary Ricson A Rebello.
Sanjay, who was the CBSE U19 singles champion in the national tournament held in India last month, was honoured during the function.
The tournament was co-sponsored by EPHPHTHA Trading and Construction and BKS Badminton Academy.
