TERRORISTS in Bahrain have used sparkler candles, pressure cookers, deodorants and other household appliances to manufacture bombs to target policemen.
A special exhibition was organised by the Interior Ministry during the 13th International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Regional Security Summit: The Manama Dialogue 2017, which ended yesterday at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain.
It showcased a series of homemade weapons, ammunition and bomb-making materials seized by police since 2011 during raids of weapons depot located in different parts of the country.
This included raids in Salmabad, Quraya and Dar Kulaib, along with a bus coming from Iraq through King Fahad Causeway and from a boat attempting to enter Bahrain’s territorial waters.
A chart was also displayed that showed the total quantity seized from the above raids included 108kg of C4, 10kg of dynamite, 50 grenades, 591 detonators, 71 mobile phones, hundreds of circuit boards and hundreds of litres of chemicals and acids.
