Six Saudi women came under the spotlight after taking part in the King Salman International Chess Championship, Okaz newspaper reported.
The Saudi female team included Eman Falata (Jeddah), Nawal Al Zubaidi (Al Laith), Zainab Al Darazi (Eastern Province), Sama Al Hunaidi, Afnan Al Qubaishi and Budoor Al Shalashel (Riyadh).
Saudi women referees Al Jawhara Al Hassan, Al Anood Isaac and Dalia Al Sumairi officiated matches during the five-day championship.
The Saudi General Sport Authority Undersecretary for Planning and Development Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud attended the opening ceremony and expressed support to the six players representing the country
