Riyadh: “I still can’t believe I am in Saudi Arabia”, said Saudi Entertainment Authority (SEA) President Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib as he announced the construction of the first-ever world-standard opera house in the country.
The Saudi Entertainment Authority has unveiled the key project as part of efforts to develop the leisure industry and promote culture.
The newly-established authority has also revealed plans to invest $64 billion in the entertainment and leisure industry over the coming ten years.
Al-Khatib announced the milestone during a ceremony hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel to highlight the 2018 calendar which includes 5000 events – 500 of which are international.
