Grundfos, a leading multinational pump and water application systems manufacturer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) to provide training to the council's members.
Headquartered in Riyadh, the council operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce.
The agreement was signed between Eng Sulaiman I Al Amoud, secretary general of SCE and Abdulaziz Daghestani, deputy general manager of Grundfos Saudi Arabia, said a statement.
Under the agreement, Grundfos will provide training to the councils’ members, who consist of over 240,000 engineers working in a wide range of operational engineering disciplines across Saudi Arabia, it said.
Training will provide recent graduates with basic skills and knowledge of how pumps work, pump applications, technologies, pumps types and more; as well as the most sustainable solutions. The one-month courses, which include the ideal mix of theory and practice, will be SCE approved, it added.
The MoU holds several interesting possibilities, with further plans to offer advanced training to the more experienced members of the council; to help engineering professionals to stay at the forefront of the latest developments on pumps and water application systems.
It shall also extend to events and marketing activities and will create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and mutual benefits for both parties, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
