Kuwait City – The Kuwaiti passport ranked second in the Arab region and 53rd worldwide, according to the latest update released by the Henley and Partners Passport Index on Wednesday.
Holders of the Kuwaiti passports can visit 93 countries worldwide without pre-entry visa requirement.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) passport continues to top the Arab region, ranked 23rd in the world. Holders of the UAE passports can visit as many as 154 countries.
The red Bahraini passport ranked 60 on Henley and Partners Passport Index and 4th in the Arab region. Holders of Bahraini passports can visit 81 countries worldwide free of pre-entry visa requirements.
The Omani and Saudi passport ranked 63rd and 65th respectively on the same index - a global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom that their citizens enjoy, in collaboration with the International Air Transportation Association and based on official data from their global database.
The Japanese passport Japan overtook Singapore in the global ranking for the most powerful passport.
The Japanese passport now offers its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to a record 189 destinations.
The Singapore passport is in second place, tied with Germany, with a total of 188 destinations accessible without a prior visa.
