Muscat – Seven Saudi nationals from the same family lost their lives in a horrific accident between a car and a truck on the road between the governorate of Dhofar and Muscat.
Five other people sustained multiple injuries in the collision.
PACDA medical team and the Royal Army of Oman rushed to the site and transferred the injured to hospitals in Haima and Nizwa, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in an initial statement.
The Saudi Embassy in Muscat liaised with the Omani Foreign Ministry, the police and Nizwa hospital to follow up on the details of the accident and the conditions of the injured.
