The United Arab Emirates (UAE) passport has achieved a major stride, beating 167 countries in the world.
The Arton Capital Passport Index, an interactive online tool, ranked the UAE passport first, based on freedom of movement and visa-free travel.
Holders of the UAE passport can travel without pre-visa requirements to 167 countries all over the world-which represents 84 per cent of the countries listed on the Passport Index.
The UAE passport has attained the top global spot in December 2018, two years after ranking 27th on Arton Capital Passport Index in December 2016.
Under the new ranking, holders of the UAE passports can enter 113 countries without pre-entry visas and 54 others with on-arrival or online entry visas.
Congo Brazaville, Sierra Leone, Niger and Burindi were the latest countries to waive off visa requirements for holders of UAE passports.
