Muscat – The criminal court in Muscat sentenced two people to ten years’ imprisonment and fined them OMR 10,000 for human trafficking.
The court also ordered their deportation from the country for life and confiscation of their properties.
The two accused forced victims to work as a prostitute and make money.
The court had recently sentenced two expatriate women in different cases of human trafficking.
They too persuaded their victims to travel to Oman for employment and then forced them to work as prostitutes.
