A SELF-TAUGHT baker and recipe developer has published a debut book in which she shares her tips and tricks and signature dishes.
Mubina Maqbool launched A Confectioner’s Secrets at The Raven’s Nest, Budaiya.
“This is my debut self-published full-colour desserts and baking book which targets people with different skill levels,” said Ms Maqbool, at the launch.
“You could be a beginner or a seasoned professional baker; there’s something interesting for everyone.”
Each recipe is accompanied by a picture to show the ideal and appealing manner to present cakes and desserts along with a step-by-step recipe for day-to-day breakfast, tea-time treats and desserts for celebrations.
The e-book version is available on Amazon while the books are available at Jashanmal Book Store and The Word Bookstore Café.
Ms Maqbool is also the founder of Melting Moments, a dessert business venture.
Present at the launch were Layalina magazine director Mohammed Ismail and media director Yusuf Mohammed along with media, family and friends.
