Abu Dhabi: Dubai anti-riot Police chief Major Maher bin Haider sustained broken ribs and other injuries in a road accident at Al-Ruwais region in the UAE.
Maj. Bin Haider was heading to Qatar on his motorbike last Wednesday when he lost control due to a hole in the road and fell off on his bike.
According to Arabic language daily Emarat Al Youm, he received medical treatment at Al-Ruwais hospital and was reportedly in stable condition after the accident.
“A CT scan was conducted on Major Haider’s head and is now receiving medical treatment after tests revealed that he is out of danger’s way”, said General Director of Security acting director Colonel Abdulla Khalifa Al-Merri.
