Riyadh: New Zealand All Black rugby player and UNICEF Ambassador Sonny Bill Williams sparked outrage when he posted on his twitter account graphic photos of two dead Syrian children after visiting a camp for Syrian refugees.
UNICEF criticised Sonny Bill Williams' use of graphic photos of young dead Syrian refugees, saying the images don't respect the rights and dignity of the children, reported Arabic daily Al Jazirah.
The All Black recently returned from a camp in Lebanon, where he was working as a Unicef ambassador to highlight the plight of Syrian children and their families. He visited the settlements in the Bekaa Valley near the Syrian border.
He tweeted to his 555,000 followers two images of children lying on the ground with wounds to their heads, torso and legs, along with the caption: ‘What did these children do to deserve this?’
