Riyadh: Passengers who were left stranded due to the disruption of Saudi Arabian Airlines flights will get compensation, said Akhbar 24.
The national carrier today called on those affected by the flight delays to call 920003777 or visit its portal: https://www.saudia.com/help/contact-us/guest-relations/contact-form to process their compensation.
Saudia earlier issued a statement apologising to customers for inconveniences resulting from flight delays.
"There have been several flights impacted in the last several days due to heavy traffic periods. The flight delays were due to exceptional circumstances," said the national carrier in a statement posted by state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
"During peak seasons, Saudi Arabian Airlines operates extra flights to meet the rise in demand. Inclement weather conditions might coincide with the occurrence of some technical glitches. This is what happened and it had caused the delay of some flights, which in turn impacted on the following flights. The increase in number of flights had a considerable effect in increasing the number of passengers impacted by the flight delays," Saudia said.
