Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) said it has completed the work on the entire 88-km Al Faya – Seeh Shuaib E75 Road Rehabilitation Project in co-ordination with the Department of Transport (DoT) at an estimated cost of Dh47 million ($12.8 million).
The project work involved the repair of asphalt defects and side shoulders and some damaged bridge expansion joints besides removal of guardrails at certain points and replacement with rope rails and removal of accumulated sand, said a statement from Musanada.
It also witnessed the rework on the road surface markings along with the project, besides improving guiding and traffic signs, it stated.
While executing the project, Musanada assured it would comply with the eco-sustainable requirements in respect of the facilities, services and vehicles by re-cycling scraped asphalt into new projects.
According to DoT, these were used in construction and paving of roads to several farms throughout various areas and construction of temporary parking lots for some facilities.
The project is aimed at helping ease traffic and transport of goods to and from Abu Dhabi city, as the Al Faya – Seeh Shuaib E75 road is one of the main roads used by trucks between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
