‘Bajirao Mastani’ bagged 9 Filmfare awards on Friday night, including in major categories such as Best Film, Best Picture, Best Actor (Ranveer Singh), Best Actress In A Supporting Role (Priyanka Chopra), Best Singer Female (Shreya Ghosal), Best Choreography (Birju Maharaj) and Best Action (Sham Kaushal).
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's nearly a decade-long wait to make his magnum opus 'Bajirao Mastani' was worth the wait as the love story bagged the top awards.
Considered as the 'Oscars' of India, the event was co-hosted by Kapil Sharma, superstar filmmaker Karan Johar and megastar Shah Rukh Khan, the evening witnessed exciting performances by Ranveer Singh and SRK among others.
The Filmfare Awards night has always been hailed as Bollywood's most glamorous night, which makes it obvious that the celebrities will give each other stiff competition to make it to the best dressed list.
