The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) has started the assessment process of 1,081 applicants from government and private schools as well as Bahrainis studying abroad.
Qualifying tests to assess candidates’ English language and critical reasoning skills are taking place in co-operation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) at its headquarters in Manama.
Applicants studying abroad can take the tests under supervised conditions at an appropriate location, said CPISP finance and administration affairs executive director Shatha Ali.

The next step will be the selection of 80 candidates based on the results of the qualifying tests and their Grade Point Average (GPA).
The candidates, whose names will be announced before the end of next month, will then undergo various training and preparation courses for standardised testing throughout the summer and the next academic year until the final recipients are selected in April 2026.
Ms Ali confirmed that 1,197 applications had been received between March 1 and 15.
The programme’s application criteria included Bahraini citizenship, a GPA of 97 per cent or higher, and enrolment in the 11th grade (or equivalent) with graduation in 2026.
