Dubai: A horrific accident claimed the lives of eight Asian people in Dubai early this morning.
The accident which happened at 4.54am on Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road in the direction of Sharjah left six other people injured.
A 14-seater minibus collided with a heavy truck which was parked on the road, leaving the passengers dead and injured.
The bus driver and seven other passengers died at the scene of the accident after sustaining fatal wounds.
Two passengers who were seriously wounded were rushed to Rashid Hospital for treatment.
