A CALL has gone out for volunteers to join an initiative to beautify the Psychiatric Hospital on Sunday.
Artists will generate wall mosaics and paintings at the outdoor area of the Psychiatric Hospital as part of the ‘Colours, Happiness, Cure’ initiative organised under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa in collaboration with the Health Ministry.
The artists will commence painting and working on their art pieces at 11.30am while other volunteers will plant seedlings within efforts to beautify the outdoor space of the hospital.
Street furniture will also be installed in the outdoor space after collaborations with Bahrain University revealed the best colour healing and colour therapy practices, along with taking into account the input of engineers on the designs.
Phase two of the volunteer initiative will also include the beautification of the inside of the Psychiatric Hospital, along with all health centres in the future.
