Riyadh: Newly-appointed UAE Minister of Happiness Ohood Al-Roumi made headlines as she took oath wearing a special necklace with ‘Happy’ written on it during the oath-taking ceremony.
She took oath before the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
She will also continue to hold her previous portfolio of General Manager of the Office of the Prime Minister.
The minister responsible for state happiness is one of the five women in the newly-appointed cabinet, reported Arabic daily Al-Jazirah.
New government ministries of Happiness, Tolerance and Youth Affairs were introduced in the United Arab Emirates during the World Government Summit.
