Maya Jewellers Combine CC scored an enthralling last ball victory over Smashers in the The Indian Club-NHS Seven-a-side Open Softball Cricket Tournament while Berger Blue and Awan CC had an easy time winning their matches.
Batting first, Maya Jewellers posted a reasonable 38 for five in their six overs.
In reply, Smashers seemed on the cusp of victory needing just three runs in the last over with all wickets intact.
But they lost five wickets in the last over and in the process scored just one run to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Group B: YACCT 34 all out in 5.2 overs lost to Berger Blue 38-1 in 2.5 overs (Roshan 20*) by 5 wickets.
Group A: BMMI 40 all out in 5.5 overs lost to Awan CC 43-2 in 5.2 overs (Ali 22*) by 4 wickets.
