Baharin has lifted a ban on electronic sheesha and its accessories for personal use.
It follows an order from Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Al Zayani on Tuesday.
In a letter sent to Customs, the minister said a ban was imposed on electronic cigarettes in 2013, not on electronic sheesha.
The GDN yesterday learnt that an email was sent by the Customs Clearance and Inspection Office to all directors to allow electronic sheeshas to enter the country for personal use as new mechanisms for commercial purposes are drawn up.
