Doha: The Fifth Arab Future Cities Summit 2016 will commence on 11 April 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha, under the patronage of Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti
The objective of the two-day summit is to facilitate an international platform to discuss the ways for the transfer of knowledge, know-how and to reflect on technological and social innovations and transformations that are arising in cities.
It will discuss the implementation of the Arab smart cities development, the infrastructure that is required, issues and challenges that are being faced and the solutions to overcome these challenges.
The Summit will also shed light on measures and strategies capable of achieving sustainability and the development of the capital city of Qatar into a smart city, in addition to latest trends related to smart cities development.
It will host a number of senior officials and representatives of some government entities in Qatar, senior delegates representing several organizations and institutions from across the GCC, in addition to a number of representatives of transport and communications sector.
