Muscat: Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman issued a royal decree, amending the Law on State’s Flag and Emblem and changing the words referring to his predecessor, the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said in the National Anthem.
Oman News Agency (ONA) said that the monarch issued the royal decree replacing the clause termed “First” of Annex No 3 attached to the Law on the State’s Flag, Emblem and National Anthem.
The amendment was announced at the end of the mourning period following the death of Sultan Qaboos.
