Riyadh: The French Embassy in Riyadh announced that Saudi people holding ‘special’ Saudi Arabian passports will no longer require a visa to enter France if their stay is less than 90 days, effective from April 1.
“Therefore, the French embassy will no longer issue Schengen short stay visas on such passports,” the French Embassy said in a statement.
“In case you need a Schengen visa to visit another Schengen country, you are requested to submit your visa application to the concerned embassy.”
The Saudi Ministry of Interior received an official notification in this regard from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following an agreement signed between the two countries, reported local Arabic daily Sabq.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues special passports to citizens of certain categories, such as diplomats and others who enjoy other advantages with regards to visas and entry at international airports.
