Mike Brightmore and Jamie Bowen shone brightest as a new six-week Monday Madness Night Golf Series got underway at the Royal Golf Club. sponsored once again by Porsche Centre Bahrain.
The pairing registered a score of 26 points to win the Rainbow Challenge tournament where nearly 40 players took part.
Alistair and Paul Rushton narrowly clinched second place with 22 points on count back while the duo of Debbie Lane and Dagfrid Berge took third place with the same score.
The winning duo top the series leader board with five points, the Rushtons have four points and the third placed ladies have three. Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Shaker Hubail and Mohamed Al Sayed respectively.
Porsche branded flags and the latest models of the Porsche Boxter Sport and Porsche Maccan Sport were displayed on the golf course for the duration of the competition.
The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Sohail Singh, the Royal Golf Club’s Tournament Coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Porsche Centre Bahrain.
The Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series takes place at the Royal Golf Club every Monday evening. The 9 hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of just BD 20 per night and tee off with a 6:30pm shotgun start.
