Riyadh: A Saudi father and his son made headlines as they graduated together with a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Taiba in the Medina.
Forty-seven-year old Abdulla Awad Al-Sulaimi and his son Khalid were among 32 students who graduated from the Department of Islamic Studies.
The father and son enrolled together at the same university four years ago and were honoured together on the day of their graduation, under the patronage of the Medinah Ruler Prince Faisal bin Salman
The father expressed tremendous gratitude to his wife who encouraged him from the first day calling him a "hard-working student".
