THIRTY teams will compete today in one of Bahrain’s biggest charity events to help raise money to fight diabetes.
The 40th annual Raft Race, being held at Al Bander Hotel and Resort, Sitra, from 9am to 4pm, is organised by the Rotary Club of Salmaniya.
The money raised will go towards the Bahrain Diabetic Society and the Health Ministry in support of their campaign against diabetes.
Fun activities for the family will also be available including a bouncy castle, face-painting, airbrush tattoos, clowns, balloon animals and inflatable pools with boats. Entertainment also includes a DJ playing English and Arabic music.
Entry will cost BD1.
